Course in the frame of master program Agroecology and Organic Agriculture.
"Environmental Measures in Sustainable Agriculture"
2006-01-18

Course "Environmental Measures in Sustainable Agriculture" will be arranged in Latvia University of Agriculture in January 30 - February 3, 2006. Course is still open for applications from Baltic students. Teachers and supervisors are welcomed to advice this course for their students.

 The main topics are:

  • agriculture and water ecosystems in Baltic countries;

  • concepts and methods of soil fertility;

  • nutrient balance in organic farm;

  • environmental impact assessment;

  • agro-environmental measures in Rural development plan;

  • policy applications for population control.

Course has a wide scope and might be applied in many fields within agriculture and environmental control. Students from other specialisations than agronomy are welcome to join the course.

Registration deadline to the course has been extended and students from all BOVA member universities are welcome to join and take a high quality course given by international teaching team.. Application forms are available at BOVA webpage and you are welcome to contact BOVA coordinators if willing to attend this course.
