About BOVA
BOVA is The Baltic Forestry, Veterinary and
Agricultural University
established in 1996. In 1996-2000, BOVA actively participated in the
NOVABA
programme with focus on short MSc courses. BOVA has also promoted
establishment
of professional contacts among academic staff of its member
universities. Thanks to grant by
K&A Wallenberg, the BOVA secretariat with one full time position
was
established in June 2002 and since 2005, administration of BOVA network
sustain on internal funding. Also, coordinators at each member
university in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania and contact person at
Lithuanian
Veterinary Academy work in close cooperation with secretariat.

NOVA-BOVA cooperation
Outside the Baltic countries, the major BOVA's partner is the NOVA
University Network - The Nordic Forestry, Veterinary and
Agricultural University. Since
its establishment in 1995, NOVA has initiated numerous collaboration
activities
among its member universities as well as with the BOVA University.
NOVA-BOVA -
Network between NOVA and BOVA universities initiated in 2001. The major
aim of
NOVA-BOVA is to induce the cooperation between NOVA and BOVA
universities.
During 2003, special emphasis was given on strengthening institutional
capacities
on the BOVA side.
