News from Contest-Workshop "Temporary gardens"

Work team of 6 people (organisers) elected 23 works out from 57 and
additionally 8 extra-works. All elected works will be realized on the 29-31 of
July 2005. Firsts 23 are eligible for awards as they fits the original idea of
Temporary Gardens. Extra-works are not directly suitable to the main topic but
they are interesting ideas, which have to be realized in Tartu. However, all 31
works can be awarded by the public price or special price from supporters, jury
and Tartu government.

festival is finished, organisers are going to exhibit all 57 works.

The contest is finished on the 1st of April. There was a very high
participation rate: 39 teams sent to us 57 works! (It was really big surprise for
organisers.)
This number means, that this topic is known and very popular!) Around 120 people
took part in the contest. Most of them are students of LA, additionally were the
experts of LA and professor of the universities. Geographically it covers Estonia, Hungary, Germany, Latvia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, Sweden,
Italy, Poland, Lithuania, also Argentina, Australia, HongKong and Singapour!
