"Agroecology in the Baltic States today"
Course "Agroecology in the Baltic States Today" will be arranged as study
trip in three Baltic countries
in March 14-22, 2006. Students and teachers will spend few days in each country
and recent status and achievements will be introduced to them. This is a third course form series of six in 2006.
Course welcomes students and teachers to join from Baltic States and Northwest
Russia regions.
�The main course topics are:

An overview of the potential of Organic Agriculture in
the Baltic States;

Measures of Environmental Protection;
-
Issues of Processing and Marketing of Organic Products;
-
Rational Use of Soils and Natural Resources in Baltic
States
This course is a unique opportunity to visit all three Baltic
States and become acquainted with the environmental situation and the main
agroecological targets in each of them. Study tour will include auditorium
activities at each BOVA Member University and practical tasks at selected
agroecological objects. Course will include practical and group work on basics
of inspection of organic farms; analyses of grassland botanical composition;
soil studies etc.

students from all BOVA member universities are welcome to join and take a high
