Estonian University of Life
Sciences (EMU) arranges a course for doctoral students "Methodology
of Research" which will be given by Prof. Henri-Charles Dubourguier (ISA
Lille, France) who is a visiting professor in EMU.
Among many other topics
course will include main principles, methods and types of research;
requirements for scientific work; stages of scientific work; basic rules
of planning experiments; management and financing of research; applying
for finances. Course value is 1,5 ECTS. More information may be found on

The course will take place in
Tartu in February 19-23, 2007. Doctoral students from
BOVA member universities are
welcome to join the course as well. Course is free of any fees except
covering costs of travel accommodation and subsistence which are subject
to be covered by sending university. A limited number of places
has been allocated for students from Latvia and Lithuania.
Students willing to apply to
the course shall contact
local BOVA coordinator at home university for details. The deadline for applications
is set to February 1. First applied doctoral students
will naturally get a priority in selection process.
