Distance learning schedule
Course introduction is planned for February 12, 2007.
Group work, individual literature studies and preparation of poster
presentation is planned for February 13 � May 12, 2007.
Course participants will meet in person in week May 20 � 27, 2007.
Course gathering (meeting in person). The last week of the course students
and teachers will gather at Lithuanian University of Agriculture. Teachers will be
invited researchers from Nordic and Baltic universities. All involved and
invited teachers will be present during the main part of the gathering. A brief
programme for the last week is as follows:
During distance learning period students will be working in groups,
consisting of three to four students from different countries. Each group has
been assigned a topic within weed biology and management, to be presented as a
review article and at a seminar the last week of the course. The group will
communicate via e-mail or webpage. Special expertise on electronic communication
is available at SLU.
Also, during this period students will prepare a poster presentation of their
PhD project, to be presented at a poster session the last week.
Students will be requested to study the compulsory literature, including
titles below and selected journal articles.
