Symposium and PhD course in Agro-Biotechnology [2004-12-27 12:38:46] The Agro-Biotechnology network recently announced an invitation to the *The First Baltic Sea Region Symposium and Postgraduate course "Agro-Biotechnology Focused on Root-Microbe Systems"* which will take place in Kaunas, Lithuania in May 2005.

NorFa PhD course - First announcement [2004-12-09 15:06:09] NorFA announces a course for PhD students that will take place in June in Parnu, Estonia. Course title is ï¿½Today's research training - tomorrow's scientific qualityï¿½ in scientific theory, philosophy and ethics, scientific communication and projects management. Twenty students from Baltic States and Northwest Russia will be invited to participate at the course.

	Nordplus Neighbour 2005-06 [2004-11-30 12:16:21] The Research Council of Norway has announced a call for application to Nordplus Neighbour programme for 2005-2006. The deadline for applications is set to February 1, 2005. This program is extremely suitable for development of activities in the frame of NOVA-BOVA cooperation as it supports networks within education and research between the Nordic and Baltic countries and Northwestern Russia. New and ongoing networks may apply for covering their expenses connected to travel, board and lodging.

Results of Baltic applications to NOVA courses [2004-11-22 11:11:40] The Nordic Academy for Advanced Study (NorFA) has recently announced results of application to NOVA PhD courses. Two of three courses will be provided with funds to cover participation costs of Baltic PhD students (cf. Table).
