Following successful model of joint international master courses in the BOVA UN and implementing strategic objectives of BOVA a new initiative on development of international doctoral courses was raised in 2006. A small survey on status of doctoral studies and the level of internationalization was completed by Eda Tursk (coordinator of doctoral studies in EMU) and results were used as a starting point during the seminar.
From this point the process of the development of BOVA Intensive Doctoral Courses (BIDC) was launched.
BOVA UN every year is planning to offer a number of PhD courses given by international teaching teams and opportunity to visit one of the 3 Baltic countries and meet your colleagues during one week intensive studies.
